First time for everything

Last year Arleigh asked if she could be apart of the school pageant. So when school started this year we asked her if she was still interested in participating, of course her answer was yes. If it involves dressing up, getting hair fixed and putting on make-up Arleigh is always ready to be apart of it. So on February 19th she was in the Corner pageant for Elementary and Middle school students. Weeks before we went looking for the perfect dress. After two places and several dresses later, she found her favorite dress....pink of course. The night before Arleigh had a 2 hour practice on how to walk on stage, then it was off to get spray tanned. Her Aunt Michele also came over to roll her hair so it would be perfect for the pageant. Saturday morning she woke up excited and ready to go, but not before she put in her special breakfast request of pancakes and bacon. Aunt Michele came back over to do her make-up and fix her hair. She was absolutely stunning when everything was complete. Then it was off to strut her stuff on stage. Arleigh was 2nd Alternate in her division and also won the judges choice for most photogenic. She was so excited and we were all so proud of her. She is looking forward to other pageants in her future and I think she is preparing for one in the next couple of months.
